AYSO REGION 425
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION POLICY
The Board of Directors of AYSO Region 425 believes that the continued success of AYSO in Glencoe, Kenilworth, Northfield, and Winnetka depends on parent participation.
AYSO is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization affiliated with the park districts in our communities. We rely on parents who register their children to play soccer to also volunteer their time for the benefit of their children and their teams.
The AYSO motto, “Everyone Plays,” applies to both children and parents—children play soccer, and parents play an active role as Team Parents, Assistant Coaches, Head Coaches, and other volunteers. Without parent volunteers, there is no AYSO.
We appreciate you volunteering your time to support AYSO and, more importantly, to help create positive life experiences for your children.
Let’s play!

Provide a snack and/or drink for the team for one or more games during the season.

In the absence of a Team Coach, collaborate with other Team Parents to manage a practice or game, or participate in a shared coaching model in which responsibilities are divided among Team Parents.
Communicate in a positive, respectful, and supportive manner with players, coaches, parents, league officials, and especially youth referees.
ASSISTANT COACH VOLUNTEER
The Assistant Coach supports the team in the following ways:
Regularly attend team practices and games and serve as the primary backup to the Team Coach when needed.
In the absence of the Team Head Coach, work with Team Parents to create a coverage schedule to ensure at least one Team Parent is present at each practice or game.
