U7–U12 (1st Grade – 6th Grade) PROGRAM INFORMATION
Our Grassroots program is the foundation for the fun, excitement, and learning that happens on the fields. The program is designed to be age-appropriate and developmentally challenging, guided by AYSO’s Six Philosophies, which form the core of AYSO’s Mission and Vision.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Players practice once per week with their team (60-minute session).
Games are played on Saturdays.
Teams are led by Parent Volunteer Coaches.
Every team must have at least one parent coach.
Each team receives assistance from AYSO Professional Coaches (P2 Soccer) during practice throughout the season.
Parents may submit one friend or team request at the time of registration (requests are not guaranteed but we do our best to accommodate).
Practice day, time, and field are selected by the team’s parent coach from options provided by the coordinator/director. Coaches will poll their teams to determine the best fit.

Team Formation and Coach Allocation: July, Week 4
Practice Slot Allocation Begins: August, Week 1–2
Team Formation and Practice Finalization: August, Week 2–3
Game Schedule Released: September, Week 1
Note: The earlier the majority of registrations are completed, the sooner teams can be formed and practice schedules organized.
