5U-6U (U5 AND U6) PROGRAM

U5/5U (PRE-K) PROGRAM INFORMATION 
“The objective of this program is to provide young players and their parents with a “pressure free” introduction to the beautiful and simple game of soccer. At this age, players should be exposed to soccer by
playing simple, fun activities and games that require little to no practice, and a minimal time commitment.”
 AYSO National Guidelines

U5 Region 425 Program
-Players practice once a week with AYSO  Professional Coaches (P2 Soccer).
-Parents select practice works best for their child.

POSSIBLE PRACTICE OPTIONS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE):
Mondays 3:30-4:15pm in Winnetka
Tuesday 3:30-4:15pm in Glencoe
Wednesdays 3:30-4:15pm in Northfield
Thursdays 3:30-4:15pm in Kenilworth


Practice assignments will begin mid-July.

-Games on Saturdays at 9:00-9:45am at Townley Field in Kenilworth.
-Players are led through warm up activities by AYSO P2 Coaches.
-Games are played in pickup style.
-Parent involvement is expected on game day.
-Every team must have at least one parent-coach.

U6/6U (KINDERGARTEN) PROGRAM INFORMATION
6U Players are assigned to teams, usually based on school.
Rosters are capped at 5 kids.
Each roster of five players is required to have a parent coach volunteer for Saturday games.

Players practice each week for 45 minutes with Professional AYSO P2 Coach.
-Practice assignments mid-July.

POSSIBLE PRACTICE OPTIONS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE):
Mondays 3:30-4:15pm in Winnetka
Tuesday 4-4:45pm in Glencoe
Wednesdays 4-4:45pm in Northfield
Thursdays 4:15-5pm in Kenilworth

Games on Saturdays.
10:00-10:45am (Girls) or 11:00-11:45 am (Boys) at Townley Field in Kenilworth.

-Teams play games against each other, supervised by parent-coaches and AYSO Professional Coaches.


All Parent volunteer coaches need to register to volunteer on their account on inleague.playsoccer.org and complete background check.

There are optional online coaching certifications courses (eTrainU) available on inleague portal to help gain knowledge.

Parent coaches will always have the assistance of our P2 coaches.

UNIFORM: 
1. PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE A JERSEY, PAIR OF SHORTS AND A PAIR OF SOCKS DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF THE PROGRAM.
2. EACH CHILD NEEDS TO HAVE SHIN GUARDS AND SOCCER CLEATS
